Foot Notes Weighed 1650 at BSE exam on October 20. Maternal Grand Sire Perks Advance 121r was #1 bull stud at Pieper”s for 3 years. Maternal Grand Dam PIE Duches 3142 is THE foundation cow of the Kunkel Registered Herd. MPPA 100. She was bought as a bred 5 year old cow from Pieper’s at the 2008 fall sale. She had, raised and weaned a great calf each year until 2019 All but one of her Kunkel Farms born Calves were AI sired with a 360 day calving interval. All but one of her calves were heifers, and all were retained and rolled back into our herd and all but one or two remain there. She was culled in the spring of 2019 at age 16. A great cow. She did it all. Sire was lot 4 in the fall 2018 Pieper red angus sale. Two steers out of the sire won 1st and 3rd place in the 2022 Missouri Cattlemen’s Top 100 steer carcass contest this year.
